Ishita (she/her) is a 23-year-old law student, based in Delhi who spends her nights binge-watching. She believes in the power of social media and actively participates in charity work to benefit others. She spends the most of her time on her phone, scrolling through reels or creating Pinterest vision boards. A foodie, a hoarder, and a shopaholic.
Q1. My first question to you is, what made you decide you wanted to do this? How did you land up with the idea of running a thrift store? Was this a dream you pursued or just an impulsive decision?"
Ishita : I've always been and continue to be a huge shopaholic; I used to shop so frequently that it burned a hole in my pocket. On Instagram, I was looking for low-cost purchasing sites. So, sometime in June of 2020, I discovered online thrift stores. And as I became more involved with the thrifting community, I learned about Closet Clearances. I tried hitting up pages for the same thing, but it didn't work out. That's when I decided to take matters into my own hands, and Revival Pile was born. The major goal was to assist customers in selling their unwanted clothing for a low commission rate and with policies that made them feel comfortable.
Q2. What ignited your passion? Who inspired you?
Ishita: The instagram thrifting community is massive, and each page has its own unique selling point. Every page I've browsed, shopped from, or simply admired from afar has inspired me in some way.
Q3. Tell us about your aim. What was on your mind when you started running a thrift store?
Ishita: My aim with Revival Pile is to help people clear their closets and find their clothes a new home. Also to bring affordable fashion on the table help students like myself.
